Notification Center
- Notifications of any new tasks (or outstanding tasks) created in the Self-Service Module that require your attention. These alerts are composed of requests that have been made by others since the last time you logged into Cimpl.
- Alerts regarding new features or product updates. The Cimpl team work hard to continuously improve the platform and your user experience. The Notification Center will make sure that you know about them as soon as they're available to you for use.
- Information on upcoming webinars and other information sessions on the Cimpl platform and important industry topics offered by our experts.
The Notification Center icon appears red and has a counter to reflect the number of notifications awaiting you attention. Notifications cannot be deleted.
Only two types of actions will generate notifications for other users:
- Actions taken in the Self-Service Module (e.g. provisioning, service transfers, etc.).
- Approval requests for the Monthly Executive Analytics Report.
Notification Center and Role Emulation
When you are emulating another user, you are given access to their Notification Center. You can view, read and take action on their notifications. It is important to know that the next time the emulated user logs into Cimpl, instead of their notifications having a Read status, they have a Read by (user name) status.
Access the Notification Center:
- Click on the Notification Center icon
. The Notification Center sidebar opens.
- Click on a notification entry to open it.
- If the notification is an Action or New Task notification, you are redirected to the related section to follow up or complete the task or Action.
- If the notification is service information (e.g. release notification, product updates etc.), you are redirected to the reading panel of the Notification Center.
- Once opened, Notifications is Marked as Read and grayed out.
Note: You can Mark All as Read. However, you cannot set all notifications to have Unread status.
